Circle Health Group

One standard, every role, every site

How alsico delivered a fully standardised uniform programme across clinical and non-clinical teams

Overview

Circle Health Group is one of the UK’s largest private hospital operators, with a national network of 54 hospitals across the UK.

As they continued to expand its network of hospitals, the need for a consistent, scalable uniform programme became critical. Existing uniforms followed a traditional model, both in design and procurement, and were somewhat standardised but not structured enough to support growth across multiple sites and roles.

Following a tender process, Circle Health Group sought a partner who could deliver more than supply — combining quality, modern design and full uniform project management. Alsico was appointed to create a fully standardised solution, spanning both clinical uniforms and non-clinical suiting.

The project has not only improved uniform standardisation but reinforced our commitment to quality and excellence in everything we do. Alsico are a valued partner to Circle Health Group.

The solution

Alsico delivered a fully standardised uniform programme built around structure, control, and wearer needs — exactly what Circle Health Group needed.

  • Bespoke uniforms

A bespoke clinical range was purposely designed using ALSIFLEX® fabric technology (a firm request from wearers and stakeholders alike) — combining stretch, breathability, and durability — with role-specific colourways defined within a clear framework. For non-clinical teams, a tailored suiting solution was introduced, ensuring consistency across corporate roles as well as clinical environments.

  • Simplified ordering

A role-based wardrobe system was implemented through a bespoke online ordering portal, allowing wearers to order only what was assigned to their role, with an allowance based on hours contracted. This removed ambiguity, improved ordering accuracy, and reinforced consistency across all sites.

  • Structured rollout

Rollout was managed through a staggered delivery approach, ensuring a controlled transition across multiple locations. Wearer engagement, inclusive sizing, and digital sizing tools supported adoption and ensured the programme worked in practice, not just in theory.

The results

Circle Health Group now operates a fully standardised uniform programme across both clinical and non-clinical teams — creating a consistent brand identity across every site.

Operational efficiency has improved, with greater control over ordering, better stock management, and increased visibility across the organisation. The programme is now embedded into day-to-day operations, making uniforms easier to manage at scale.

Wearer feedback has been strongly positive, particularly around comfort, fit and professional appearance. Standardisation has also strengthened a sense of identity, with staff feeling part of a single, unified organisation.

With a structured framework in place, Circle Health Group is now able to scale adapt, and evolve its uniform programme with confidence.

"It's been a pleasure to work closely with Alsico to deliver this landmark project for Circle Health Group. Throughout the project, Alscio have felt like an extension of our own team, working closely with us at every stage from the bespoke design to meeting regulatory requirements as well as ensuring dedicated support during the roll out phase. The project has not only improved uniform standardisation but reinforced our commitment to quality and excellence in everything we do. Alsico are a valued partner to Circle Health Group."
