Market Researcher

As a Market Researcher at the group level, you are responsible for transforming market data into actionable insights that support alsico’s strategic and commercial decisions. You conduct market and competitor analysis, research customer behavior across regions, and develop both quantitative and qualitative studies. By collaborating with sales, marketing, and product development teams, you help drive informed choices around market entry, positioning, and customer segmentation.

Job description

As a Market Researcher at the group level, you are responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating market information into actionable insights for the organization. Your responsibilities include:

  • Market and Competitor Analysis: You actively monitor developments within the sectors where Alsico operates and map out key players, trends, and benchmarks.
  • Customer and Segment Analysis: You research customer needs and behaviors across different regions, identify new target audiences, and support the segmentation strategy.
  • Support for Strategic Decision-Making: You prepare reports and recommendations to assist management in commercial and strategic decisions, such as market entry or positioning.
  • Design and Execution of Quantitative and Qualitative Research: You develop surveys, interviews, or other tools to collect relevant data, both internally and externally.
  • Monitoring International Market Developments: You track global economic, technological, and political trends that may impact Alsico and its customers.
  • Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development: You work closely with various departments to share insights, validate ideas, and enrich market knowledge.
  • Development and Maintenance of a Central Knowledge Database (Market Intelligence): You create a structured approach for collecting, documenting, and sharing market information across the group.
  • Reporting to the Executive Committee: You regularly report to the Managing Director and other key stakeholders within the group.

Profile

  • Master’s degree in (preferably) Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Interest in international markets and strategic thinking
  • Experience with or affinity for Market Intelligence is a plus
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages are an asset
