how we work

demand-driven workwear for multiple industries

For decades, the workwear industry has largely relied on traditional models built around mass production, extensive catalogues, and warehouses filled with garments waiting to be chosen. These approaches were shaped in an era when long lead times, large inventories, and linear supply chains were considered standard practice. While they have served the industry for many years, they can naturally lead to challenges today, such as surplus stock that risks going unused, production cycles dependent on conventional energy sources, and garments designed to cover every possible scenario rather than the specific needs of real users. As expectations for sustainability, transparency, and responsiveness continue to rise, these long-established methods are increasingly being tested.

demand-driven workwear

bespoke workwear solutions

Alsico offers a different path. Our demand-driven workwear model is built around thoughtful design, real-world input, and production systems shaped by actual use rather than speculation. By focusing on what people truly need and producing with precision rather than volume, we reduce unnecessary waste and avoid the risks of overstock. Our approach prioritises cleaner, more transparent manufacturing and incorporates circular thinking from the outset, ensuring garments are made responsibly and can be repaired, repurposed, or renewed at the end of their use.

Instead of offering vast catalogues, we offer clarity. Well-considered protective workwear solutions that are co-created with users and delivered efficiently, sustainably, and with purpose. In a sector ready for evolution, alsico provides a modern, agile alternative shaped by confidence in what truly matters.

how we are disrupting the world of workwear

For alsico, this is not about reinventing how workwear is made. It is how we have always worked. We have never held huge amounts of stock or created unnecessary garments just in case a sale comes through. We are a made-to-order business, working alongside our customers with a balanced and considered approach to production. Only stocking what is needed, only making what is asked for.

Gauthier Siau, CEO of the alsico group

our sustainably focused workwear model

This approach helps avoid unnecessary waste and reduces the risk of garments ending up in landfill or incineration. Because our protective workwear is made to order, quality is exceptionally high, extending garment lifespan and performance in real working environments. When needed, we operate repair and reuse initiatives that keep garments in use for longer and reduce the need for replacement.

At the end of their life, we take garments back and remake them into yarn that is used in new alsico garments, supporting a circular workwear model and responsible manufacturing.

Simply put, we do not believe in waste.
