wearer protection
Protection is the heart of everything we do as a business
Our company was founded on creating garments that protect people at work. This foundation has enabled us to become one of the largest safety workwear companies in the world, with specialisms across all areas.
Protection
leading the way in protective garments for nearly 100 years
Protective workwear is an essential safeguard in numerous industries, serving as a formidable barrier against potential hazards and ensuring the safety and well-being of workers. Whether it's arc flash protection for those in the energy sector, high-visibility for construction personnel, or chemical-resistant suits in laboratories, specialised clothing play a critical role in protecting individuals from a spectrum of dangers. By providing protection against burns, impacts, chemicals, and other potential risks, protective workwear significantly reduces the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
In the UK, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) mandates the provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) under regulations such as the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992. These laws are aligned with the European Union’s Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (EU) 2016/425, which sets out rigorous standards that protective clothing must meet across all member states to ensure worker safety.
Beyond the physical protection it offers, such garments also contribute to mental reassurance, allowing employees to focus on tasks with enhanced confidence. Utilising appropriate protective workwear not only demonstrates a company's commitment to the welfare of its workforce but also cultivates a culture of safety where employees can perform their duties with reduced apprehension, fostering both productivity and peace of mind.
